What do I need?

All you need is a copy of FL Studio, XFER Records Serum, and a pair of headphones.
- FL Studio Producer version or higher is required. You can download a free trial of the software which is sufficient for the first 2 modules of the course before committing to the paid version. Download here.
- Xfer Records Serum is an advanced synthesizer. You will need this for the project walkthrough modules of this course. You can start using Serum for just $10 per month on a Rent to own plan.
- A pair of reference studio headphones is strongly recommended. These will greatly assist with training your ear to mix and master musical elements effectively. Check out three recommended options for beginners below:

I already have another DAW such as Ableton or Logic. Can I still take this course?
If you already have some experience with the workflow of another DAW such as Ableton or Logic, you should be able to adapt to this course as many of the plugins execute in the same way, although will likely look different.
If you are a complete beginner we strongly recommend sticking with FL Studio, as you will find it much easier to follow along in the course.
